Trying a Blog Challenge for a Change: 100 Days to Offload

I like to blog! I'm doing this at the least since since 2008 (the beginning are bit foggy by now), and since then I have been more or less continuously blogging. Sometimes more, sometimes less - which I guess is normal.

Over the past few years though, I found myself though rather moving platforms, then tinkering with the blog moving/updating posts, fiddling with themes even more so than usual, and, once I am about done with the move, eventually changed hosting platforms again and started all over again.

While this is surely fun, it is also annoying and I am surely not “updating”, that is writing new posts, which kind of is the idea of a blog.

Since I have recently changed hosts (now self-hosting) again, and updated/changed the theme of this blog already at the least three times, I though it is time to try get out of this loop and try to post more for a change. Wouldn’t that be an idea?

I have read plenty about Kev Quirk’s 100 Days to Offload challenge in the past, and quite a few of the blogs that I am reading have done that in the past, or are even again participating, and I thought that now, maybe, it is my time to give it a shot.

In the past I have had plenty of streaks but usually those hadn’t been planned or part of a challenge.

So, without further ado, this is post 1/100 and let’s see if I even I get close. The posts are tagged with the 100DaysToOffload and on the 20th of April 2026 we will know whether I managed or if I only managed to fiddle with the CSS a hundred times.

The latter surely would be easier.
