The Last Move
After a somewhat tumultuous week over the Christmas holidays during which I "moved" my blog multiple times between Micro.Blog and Bearblog, where the blog had been running for a couple of months then, back and forth (all comfortably from the phone) I settled in the end on continuing to run the blog on Micro.Blog since the majority of my surviving blog posts were already there and thus it made sense to stay there. So, I moved a few new entries and eventually deleted the instance of this blog on Bear, to avoid further moving. Of course.
That lasted a week or so…
Then things happened (this had been written alll over the place and I am not going to repeat that here) and I got annoyed, deleted my blog on Micro.blog and started to move the blog back to Bear, and since I deleted my instance in the first place, started to import posts AGAIN.
Which is just as annoying as it sounds.
At some point during all this mess I then opened my "org-based" blog and realized that everything (or at the least some things) are already there, ready waiting for me.
It didn't take much convincing and long story story short: I am back running my own blog, on my own server and what not so and it feels great!

The reasons why I switched away from last year were likely superficial (they always are) and long forgotten (most likely something about the lack of tags and the need to have my laptop around to blog) but this is doing just what I want to.
Naturally, a few more posts will be imported over the course of the next few weeks, and pages will have to be updated, but I am very happy with this and will keep on building this.
And as I have now officially deleted all other instance of this blog that had been flying around, there is no way back either.
